About Me
Hi, I’m Nana Hirabayashi, and I’m passionate about helping people learn Japanese!
I was born and raised in Japan and moved to the United States in 2003 to pursue my master’s degree at Syracuse University. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching Japanese to a diverse range of students—from children and college students to professionals and retirees.
With a Master's degree in Communication and Rhetorical Studies from Syracuse University, I’ve been able to combine my love for language with effective teaching strategies. I’ve also had the opportunity to teach Japanese at Cazenovia College, where I’ve honed my skills in adapting lessons to meet the unique needs of each student.
Whether you're learning Japanese for travel, business, prepareing for JLPT test or personal enrichment, I offer flexible, personalized lessons that cater to your goals and pace. I pride myself on being patient, adaptable, and professional, always striving to create a supportive environment where you can thrive.

Private Lesson

Private lessons can be tailored to fit your unique needs and goals. Whether you're preparing for the JLPT, learning Japanese for business, or studying for personal enjoyment, I will design a customized plan that aligns with your progress and aspirations.
Together, we’ll find the most effective approach to help you succeed, and I’ll be there to guide you every step of the way. In addition to language instruction, I will also introduce aspects of Japanese culture, giving you a deeper understanding of the language in its cultural context.

We’ll focus on real-world conversation in Japanese, discussing topics that interest you.
